The Idea
Heads & Tails is a streetwear brand rooted in hip hop, dance, and street culture. Built around a graffiti-inspired wordmark, the identity transforms the letters “a” and “d” into musical note icons with a head and a tail—capturing rhythm, energy, and the raw noise of the streets. The brand needed to be more than apparel; it had to embody movement, identity, and self-expression.
The Challenge
In a crowded streetwear scene, many brands echo the same visual tropes, often blurring into one another. Heads & Tails needed an identity that felt authentic to underground culture while cutting through the noise with something bold, original, and scalable for collections and campaigns. The challenge was blending gritty cultural roots with polished visual clarity that could carry the brand beyond niche circles.
The Solution
We created a brand system anchored by the graffiti-styled logotype and the head-and-tail musical icons, making rhythm its visual heartbeat. Supporting visuals draw from urban textures, bold contrasts, and kinetic typography—ensuring the brand feels alive across apparel, print, and digital platforms. The result is a streetwear identity that doesn’t whisper but shouts: Flip heads, turn tails, make noise.
